The Farm

Farm Produce

Uncertified.
Uncompromised.

Our little farm sits on a mountain top in Upper Ojai, tucked between the Topa Topa Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. We practice regenerative farming that prioritizes soil health and biodiversity over quick yields. Every decision we make centers on three things: flavor, nutrition, and ecological balance. This approach builds rather than depletes the land, creating food that’s delicious, better for you, and better for the environment.

We don’t pursue organic certification, and that’s intentional. Farming this way is expensive and hard enough. Instead of dedicating time and resources to paperwork and regulatory processes, we focus our energy on the orchards, gardens, and production. We avoid all chemicals and synthetic inputs—no exceptions, no loopholes. Our commitment to purity runs through every step.

The result is real food, grown the right way. No shortcuts, no compromise.

View of Farm

Nestled between the Topa Topa Mountains and the Pacific in Upper Ojai

Ojai Mountain Farm sits on 65 acres of beautiful mountain land, tucked away off the beaten path, with a lovely expansive view of the Pacific Ocean, The Channel Islands, and the Topa Topa mountains.

Regenerative farming that builds soil health and supports biodiversity

Healthy soil is the beginning of everything. We farm in a way that returns more to the land than it takes — building organic matter, encouraging biodiversity, and working with natural systems rather than against them. The Ojai Valley has been growing extraordinary things for a long time. We intend to keep it that way.

We farm for flavor, nutrition, and ecological balance

We ask three questions of everything we grow: Does it taste extraordinary? Does it nourish? Does it leave the land better than we found it? When the answer to all three is yes, we know we’re farming the right way.

No chemicals, no shortcuts, no compromise

Clean farming is not complicated in principle — it’s just harder in practice. No chemicals, no synthetic inputs, no moment where we decide the shortcut is worth it. That consistency is what makes the food from this farm mean something.

We chose farming over paperwork — our focus is on the land, not certifications

Organic certification is a process. What we do is a practice. The two are not always the same thing. Pursuing certification would mean redirecting time, money, and attention away from the orchards and gardens — and toward paperwork. That's not a trade we're willing to make. We'd rather spend that energy on the land, where it shows up in the food.

Real food, grown right

There’s no better way to put it. What we grow at OMF is real food — raised without shortcuts in soil we’ve worked hard to keep alive. It tastes the way food is supposed to taste, because it was grown the way food is supposed to be grown.
